Nike SB Orange Label Crafts Collection for Leo Baker
Bruin Highs, Janoskis and apparel, all releasing exclusively at specialty skate shops.
Nike SB‘s Orange Label has presented pro skater and noted LGBTQ+ activist Leo Baker with a full footwear and apparel capsule consisting of the SB Bruin High, Janoski Slip and various pieces of clothing. Crafted with assistance from Baker himself, the collection offers classically styled takes on skate staples while using colors both muted and vibrant.
Footwear options are at the center of the offerings, with the Bruin High — a shoe that could be mistaken for a Nike Blazer at first glance — featuring a full maroon leather upper accented by maroon fabric heel pieces and tongues plus a black midsole and gum outsole. While the Bruin is bold, the slip-on SB Janoski is subtle, using a tonal black finish with blue insoles. Both feature Zoom Air embedded in the insole’s heel for responsive, skate-ready cushioning.
Apparel consists of black and yellow jackets with zipper pockets, a thermal shirt, fleece henley, pants and a beanie. Much like with the shoes, branding is kept to a minimum as the simple-yet-effective designs do much of the talking.
As Baker’s collection was crafted under Nike SB’s preferential Orange Label sub-division, it’ll be available exclusively at specialty skate shops on March 7.
