HOMME PLISSÉ Issey Miyake Drops Pleated Double-Breasted Shawl
Embellished with bold tribal patterns.
Following its technical canvas NY Sneakers released two months ago, Issey Miyake has unveiled yet another key piece from its exapnsive SS20 lineup, this time under its HOMME PLISSÉ line. Featured is an intricately cut Pleated Double Breasted Shawl, detailed with an array of contrasting patterns that envliven the silhouette.
The piece sees a semi-boxy fit that has a slightly elongated hemline with three-quarter-length sleeves. Accentuating the garment’s pleated design is an arrangement of contrasting tribal patterns emblazoned throughout the piece: bold monochromatic motifs like checkers, diamonds, triangles, Greek Crosses, and rhombuses, to mention a few. Rounding up the designs, the piece sees a double-breasted construction with gray buttons, two waist pockets and wide notched lapels for a slight sartorial touch.
