Tottenham rapper Headie One has joined forces alongside BRIT Award-winning producer Fred again.. for a collaborative mixtape titled GANG, which arrives this Friday, April 3 via Relentless Records. The eight-track project — which includes the previously released “Charades” — will feature contributions from Jamie xx, FKA Twigs, Sampha, Octavian, and even slowthai, who’s reportedly sampled on interlude track “Tyron.”

In a statement, Headie explained that “GANG comes from a different perspective from my previous projects.” He continued, “It’s much more raw with emotion, not just from my own narrative like Music x Road but this time, from my peers. GANG is a shared love of music from two people with different backgrounds.”

Fred again.. also added a bit about the effort:

Headie is the truth. I realized this when we first made a song together, I muted all the music so you could really hear every lyric and give them space. We made five or six songs in the next couple weeks and each time I couldn’t believe how fearless and honest he was regardless of whatever I threw at him.
