eNASCAR's First Race Becomes Most-Watched eSports Event in History
903,000 viewers tuned in to the simulated race.

NASCAR‘s inaugural eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race hosted by Fox Sports has become the most-watched eSports TV show in history.
The eSports race was aired in place of a real-life racing event because of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of thousands of people packing into grandstands around the oval circuit, NASCAR’s online debut managed to secure 903,000 viewers on FS1. It was also the most-watched broadcast on FS1 since sporting events were subjected to a mass-cancellation, as well as being the most-watched sports broadcast on cable on March 22.
eNASCAR’s success means that the race will return to a simulated Texas Motor Speedway on March 29, airing on the Fox broadcast network as well as FS1 and the Fox Sports app at 1 PM EST.
