UPDATE (March 17, 2020):
Dior has reached out to HYPEBEAST to officially announce the postponement of its international draw for the launch of the Air Dior capsule.

Official statement below:

To ensure the safety of all, in accordance with recommendations by public authorities, and in order to reinforce the coordination of international measures, Dior has decided to postpone its international draw for the launch of the Air Dior capsule collection realized in collaboration with Jordan Brand.

This draw includes a chance to win entry to a global network of exclusive Dior pop-up and pop-in locations, whose openings have also been postponed in the context of current guidelines, to protect our customers and collaborators.

A new date for the Air Dior launch and for the pop-ups dedicated to this unique collaboration will be announced in function of how this situation evolves.

Original Story (March 8, 2020):
This weekend, the highly-anticipated release of the Dior x Air Jordan 1 was at the center of two major leaks: one announcing just how many Highs will be available, and another regarding a possible drawing system.

Back in December, when HYPEBEAST captured detailed shots of the Dior x Air Jordan 1 High at the Parisian House’s Pre-Fall 2020 show in Miami, we saw that the interior lining around the ankle featured a “MIAMI” patch. Over the weekend however, renowned “sample specialist” Jean Carlos, aka @solebyjc, revealed a new look inside the already-coveted shoe on his IG story, one that showed a lot number patch that read “2058/8500,” singling that there will be just 8,500 pairs of the High. HYPEBEAST spoke to someone close to the brand, and they confirmed this to be true. As for the AJ1 Low, there’s no word on how many will be available as of yet.

What’s more is that a leaked image (seen on Sneaker News), reveals how the release may roll out. The photo states that the drawing to purchase the High will run from March 23 to 24, with results being sent out to the winners via email on March 26. It then lists out a staggered release across nine different locations around the world, likely referencing when those draw winners will receive or can pick up their pairs.

The last bit of information says that the drawing for the Low will begin sometime during the end of May and beginning of June, but not when they’ll be sent out or available for pickup/purchase.

If you end up missing out on these beauts, you can always try for the Air Jordan 1 High “Racer Blue” with Zoom cushioning.
