Daily Paper Explores a "Psychic Sense" in Graphic-Heavy SS20 Collection
Referencing the sixth sense with stones, chakra and more.
Earlier this month, Daily Paper released a tarot card-inspired capsule collection alongside the Ghanaian visual artist David Alabo, and now the imprint returns for Spring/Summer 2020 with its “Psychic Sense” collection.
“Psychic Sense” is comprised of T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, which each sport a custom graphics that inspire you to acknowledge the sixth sense, tapping into the “Rebirth stage, Self-reflection, growth and mindset.” Daily Paper uses a fitting color palette of “Shibori” tie-dyes, soft washed-out hues such as “Kentucky Blue” and bright shades such as “Sharp Green,” which all serve as the base for the psychic-referencing graphics.
Standout offerings from the label’s SS20 collection include the “Kentucky Blue” Henken T-shirt, which takes a traditional African flyer and adds a futuristic, psychic twist with its call to action of awakening to the new world. Other notable pieces include the Hershi sweater, which features a “Shibori” tie-dye wash and a chakra report graphic on the back, and rounding out the season is its hooded sweaters, such as the Halgra hoodie that sports a grid of healing stones on the front and back.
