'Blade' Meets 'Groundhog Day' in Brodinski's Music Video for "Ratchet"
The Parisian beatsmith is back alongside Bloody Jay with another psychedelic visual.
Parisian beatsmith Brodinski has been fueling the expansion of Atlanta’s trap sound over the past few years, mixing his psychedelic techno backdrop alongside his newfound love for 808-heavy hip-hop. Working with nearly every upstart operating within the subgenre’s reigns, Brodinski’s ever-evolving discography is one to be reckoned with. After premiering his visual for “Master Section” feat. ZelooperZ with HYPEBEAST last December, he’s now returned with a new visual for “Ratchet” featuring longtime collaborator Bloody Jay.
The track, a highlight from his recent Evil World project, sees Brodinski laying down a plethora of analog synths and basses, intermingling his gritty electronics alongside Jay’s experimental trap deliveries. The NDVD-directed video stays true to the song’s psychedelic undertones, taking viewers through a nightclub scenario treads a fine line between Blade‘s nightclub scenes and the repeated sequences of Groundhog Day, following one specific dancer as she seduces and further murders various bystanders.
