Tom Sachs x NIKECRAFT Transitions Collection Is Set for Wider Global Release
Featuring the research-intensive exploding poncho.
Originally released at Tom Sachs‘ “Tea Ceremony” exhibition at the Tokyo Opera Gallery, Sachs NIKECRAFT Transitions collection is now set for a wider global release. The special range is centered around “transparency of materials and of construction” and according to Sachs features the “same value and integrity of the sculptures that I make in the studio.”
The NIKECRAFT Transitions collection was introduced globally by the Mars Yard Overshoe, leading the apparel side of the collaboration is the research-intensive exploding Poncho. The unique is constructed of the same Dyneema®️ fabric used on the shoe and three-layer waterproof breathable fabric, while trinity case features ceramic beads created by Sachs’ studio. A fidlock buckle offers ease of use and the print at the rear proudly reveals the item was manufactured in Vietnam.
Other items included in the range include a duo of fidlock buckle closure Down Shorts, T-shirts marked with text-graphics by Tom Sachs and an astronaut inspired cap.
