The firsthand history of Cash Money Records will be detailed in a brand new four part series titled New Cash Order, presented by Spotify and due out this Friday, February 21 via the streaming service’s popular RapCaviar imprint.

New Cash Order will focus on the New Orleans-based label’s formation and rise to the top of the hip-hop world, spanning over three decades thanks to the visionary planning by brothers Birdman and Slim. The trailer details the key talent acquisitions, from recognizing the foundational importance of Lil Wayne and Juvenile during the mid-90s Hot Boys era to the continuation of cultivating new and important voices like Drake and Nicki Minaj later in the label’s history.

“From the New Orleans Magnolia Housing Projects to some of the country’s most esteemed music studios, the series tells the genesis story of Cash Money Records’ meteoric rise to success. Through a series of interviews and archival footage, Slim and Birdman unveil never-before-seen takes behind the million-dollar deals that have maintained Cash Money as a label standing the test of time,” the official press release reveals.

The four part limited run will also cover new signees like Blueface and Jacquees while introducing a brand new Cash Money logo to usher in a new era to start the 2020s. Watch the full trailer above and stay tuned for New Cash Order to release February 21 via Spotify’s RapCaviar.
