PUMA Hoops has added a new member to its ever-growing performance basketball family: the Sky. A modified version of PUMA‘s original Sky from the ’80s, this model adds updated flair to a classic high-top basketball style. It also serves as an apt follow-up to the Sky LX Mid Lux, a modern-day lifestyle shoe that made its way to market in January 2020.

Debuted with a succinct, nostalgic lookbook starring Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Sky is packed full of modern-day tech like PUMA’s ProFoam cushioning and high-abrasion grip for exemplary court feel. A “Sky Dreamer” is presented in a retro white and cream colorway with a fused mesh base and supple suede overlays. Plastic heel clips provide stability, and an adjustable belt runs around the ankle. Meanwhile, a “Sky Modern” is offered in a white and navy makeup — and although its moniker is different, its construction is exactly the same. Both pairs also offer a Dreamville “Dreamer” emblem, a nod to PUMA endorser and noted hoops fan J. Cole.

The PUMA Sky Dreamer will release on February 13, while the Sky Modern follows two days later on February 15. Each is priced at $130 USD and will be available through PUMA’s webstore and retailers like Foot Locker.
