Nike CruzrOne in Black and White is as Versatile as it Gets
A shoe designed specifically to meet the needs of slow runners.
Nike Running‘s CruzrOne silhouette is an anomaly: a shoe crafted to meet the needs of those who aren’t fleet of foot that recently surfaced in a familiar “Black/White” colorway. Originally revealed in October 2019 by way of a light-hearted video featuring Tinker Hatfield — who also designed the shoe — the CruzrOne may not be in a hurry but it’s all about support, stability, and impact protection.
Dressed almost entirely in black, mesh uppers provide a seamless design for an irritation-free fit and the collar is lined with soft wool to up the cozy comfort. A dotted white pattern hits the heel, and midfoot overlays adding synthetic support plus subtle style. Branding is kept simple as well thanks to large Swooshes on the midfoot and a small Swoosh sitting above a CruzrOne text graphic on the tongue.
To dissipate the impact of a slow runner’s powerful plods, the generously sized midsoles are made of Nike‘s soft React foam. Circular black plugs add conceptual style and contrast with the aforementioned heel dots and a black rubber outsole finalizes the look.
