IISE's FW20 Collection Investigates Principles of Symmetry, Balance & Proportion
Drawing from traditional Korean architecture and furniture design.

Continuing to display its design maturity and evocative aesthetic sensibility, South Korean label IISE took to New York Fashion Week for its Fall/Winter 2020 runway presentation. The collection prepared by brothers Terrence and Kevin Kim looked to investigate the core design principles of IISE: symmetry, balance, and proportion.
Drawn from the deep respect of traditional Korean architecture and furniture design, the fundamental elements served as a frame for each piece found in the expansive range. The distinct investigation resulted in a functional purpose for each garment that is expressed intuitively.
The FW20 collection showcases the label’s core design principles through use of paneling and symmetrical lines, accented by a diverse mixture of fabrics and customized hardware. Choice uses of GORE-TEX and padding round out the functionality of the range while showcasing the versatility of the two brothers behind IISE.
