HBO Sports to Debut Documentary on Cheryl Miller-Led USC Women's Basketball Team

Next month, HBO Sports will launch Women of Troy, a documentary highlighting the groundbreaking career of the USC Trojans in the 1980s and their impact on women’s basketball. Led by Cheryl Miller, known as one of the greatest players in the history of women’s basketball, the team created new opportunities for women in basketball and influenced the birth of the WNBA.
Directed by feature-film director Alison Ellwood, Women of Troy will feature a series of interviews with all-time USC greats, such as Cheryl Miller, Cynthia Cooper, Paula and Pam McGee, Juliette Robinson and more. Shedding light on the team’s talent and ability to overcome adversity, the film follows the “Women of Troy” as they rise to national prominence with two NCAA championship titles and become the first women’s collegiate team to visit the Ronald Reagan White House.
