Chanel Unveils Extravagant J12 X-Ray
Yes, that is a sapphire bracelet.
Chanel has just unveiled its most elegant J12 watch to date. Named the J12 X-Ray, the watch gets the name from its transparent sapphire case, bracelet, and dial. The clear dial reveals the inner-workings of the Caliber 3.1 movement — jewels, the mainspring, escape wheel, and a number of other additional wheels. Each of the bracelet’s pins can also be seen through the clear sapphire material.
Adding to the over-the-top watch are small baguette diamond markers on the dial, 46 diamonds laid into the bezel, and a single stone placed at the center of the crown. While there is no news on a release date, we do know that the Chanel J12 X-Ray will release in a limited number of 12 examples, priced at a staggering $626,000 USD each.
