BILLY's & Vans Link up for Reconstructed ERA 3RA and Leopard STYLE 53
A Japan-exclusive overhaul.
Following their fleece-lined Old Skool Mules, Vans and Tokyo retailer BILLY’s have reunited once again for two brand new footwear exclusives — a reconstructed ERA 3RA and a leopard print STYLE 53.
Like the previous model seen back in July, the ERA 3RA has been detailed with a series of stitches in a distinctive wave pattern. This time however, the silhouette boasts smooth navy leather uppers and features deconstruction in a few nuanced areas. The most striking detail is the tongue, placing pony hair fabrics over a black-and-white zebra material. As a final touch, Vans’ classic rubber tab logo is layered three times over the lower heel, a nod to the triple-stitch embellishments along the uppers.
The STYLE 53 sees a bulkier, more structured build than the ERA 3RA, a shape that likens to that of a penny loafer. Doused in a bold leopard print, the shoe comes with a slip-on fit, bolstered by a thin band that arches over the tongue. It sees tonal stitching around the toebox and backstay, while a contrasting white brand tab is placed just below the collars. All of these details sit atop a crisp white midsole, complemented by a brown fully treaded outsole to match the hazel-toned palette of the leopard print.
BILLY’s exclusive Vans ERA 3RA and STYLE 53 are currently available at BILLY’s website for $100 USD and $118 USD, respectively.
