Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci Reveal That They Never Rehearse for Scenes
The three join director Martin Scorsese in a roundtable discussion leading up to ‘The Irishman.’
In the leadup to Netflix‘s The Irishman, legendary actors Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci joined director Martin Scorsese for a roundtable discussion about their careers, and now thanks to the streaming platform, the video has been made available to all.
Featuring the four cinematic greats, the conversation was first recorded back in 2019, and had just been freshly edited for the release of the Criterion Collection Blu-ray version of the film. The entire 20-minute clip shows the men discussing everything from how they met each other 40 to 50 years ago to how acting and the movie industry used to be back in their day, recounting stories of never rehearsing for a scene or acting fully with their bodies and not just their faces. Of course, the group also discuss filming The Irishman and how the de-aging technology made their jobs actually more difficult.

Elsewhere in entertainment, The Matrix 4, Dune and more titles will premiere on HBO Max.
