NEPENTHES NY Rings in December With BAGSINPROGRESS Pop-Up, Nigel Hosang Exhibition
Inviting fans back to the recently renovated retail destination.
Having already introduced another Suicoke collaboration, the recently-refurbished NEPENTHES New York is jumping into the holiday season with a pair of special events. First, a limited pop-up from NYC-based designer Chiharu Hayashi’s BAGSINPROGRESS brand; second, Nigel Hosang’s “Sessions” exhibit.
The former is a timely pop-up highlighting a selection of totes, bags and pouches envisioned by BAGSINPROGRESS, encompassing everything from mini duffel bags to carryalls. Ideated as a the ideal daily “toolbox” for any lifestyle, the accessories are all realized in versatile shades of olive or black, finished off with a co-branded tag. In the styled shots seen above, viewers can also check out a pair of collaborative New Balance 993 sneakers masterminded by NEPENTHES family member Engineered Garments back in 2013.
Simultaneously, NEPENTHES NY will host an exhibition from photographer Nigel Hosang. Dubbed “Sessions,” Hosang will showcase intimate imagery shot in black and white over the past several years that sees a variety of subjects preparing to begin a session in front of Hosang’s lens.
