NBA Rookie Anthony Edwards Signs Endorsement Deal With adidas
The Timberwolves’ No.1 pick becomes one of two 2020 draft members with shoe deals.

Anthony Edwards has had quite a year, from being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft to now having a shoe endorsement deal with adidas.
Edwards, having only played three games in his NBA career, continues to show signs of improvement and a path to a promising season. So far, he has averaged 16 points, 2.3 assists, and 3 rebounds, shooting 23.5% from the three-point range and 42.2% from the field.
The young Atlanta-native is in illustrious company, joining fellow basketball stars Trae Young, James Harden, Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard and Donovan Mitchell in the adidas family. Edwards is also only one of two 2020 draft class rookies to have landed a shoe endorsement deal, as LaMelo Ball recently signed with Puma.
Due to the many adjustments made this year, it is unclear how many draft class members will sign endorsement contracts due to budget constraints for rookies. In fact, it was reported that Nike was not willing to sign any rookies prior to January. There is little to be known about the deal, but with the strong start Edwards has had, adidas appears to be keen on investing in the young NBA player.
