Australian sneaker boutique Highs and Lows is celebrating its 15 years in partnership with adidas Consortium with the very special release of a friends and family Torsion Edberg.

Following on from its Edberg Comp “Blush Yellow” release last year, HAL offers just 15 pairs of the new F&F colorway that comprise premium black leather alongside orange TPU inserts. The shoe is inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s philosophy of less is more, as a result sporting a deconstructed take on Stefans Edbergs’s signature ’90s silhouette while also paying homage to adidas Originals‘ archive.

Retro elements come in the form of a yellowed Torsion-equipped midsole that’s joined by gray components all around, as well as a vintage-looking exposed foam tongue that extends way past the shoe’s collar. Similarly-toned cream laces weave through white metal eyelets, of which the very top one is branded with Consortium stamping.

Vintage terry cotton lines the interior, while more spongey material can be found at the intersection between the perforated toe box and the vamp. adidas Trefoil branding appears on the midsole, while Torsion branding can be seen embedded into the orange TPU elements on the mid-panel that makes up the Three Stripes and styling cues.

The 15 pairs will be accessible via a raffle in which tickets cost $5 AUD each (approx. $3.68 USD). The total proceeds will be donated to the Kadjin Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Youth Arts Network, a charity that provides young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with professional development, yarning, healing, empowering and performance-based support alongside other life opportunities.

Take a look at the Highs and Lows x adidas Consortium Torsion Edberg above, and head over to the HAL website now where you can enter the raffle as many times as you like for $5 AUD a ticket. The raffle expires on December 15, which is also when winners will be selected at 5 p.m. AWST.
