Dime and Reebok Intersect Skate and Basketball On A Kamikaze II Low Collection
Shawn Kemp’s iconic hoops silhouette gets reworked with skate sensibilities.

Montreal-based skate label Dime has been nudged by the Reebok family for a brand new footwear assortment that converges the worlds of skateboarding and hoops. Together, the two brands are collaborating on Shawn Kemp‘s low-slung Kamikaze II — a silhouette that is currently in the midst of celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The collection is comprised of three distinct colorways, all of which carry the same form of upper constructions engineered with smooth suede base layers overlapped with zig-zagged leather paneling across the lateral and medial walls. Two of the takes opt for vibrant palettes including the “Royal” blue offering that is paired with “Chalk” and “Sonic Green” accents, as well as the bold yellow and black makeup that may elicit memories of the BAIT x Kamikaze II “Bruce Lee” from 2018. The third sibling is formed with a stealthy theme as its base layer is primarily hued in black and rides atop a translucent outsole.
External branding is kept to a minimum and is found via the traditional vector logos which sit towards the forefoot. Dime’s namesake lands towards the heel as well.
The assortment will see its first release through Dime on December 5, followed by a global launch that will take place on December 12 at Reebok and through select local retailers.
Recently, Reebok officially unveiled their upcoming Club C collaboration with Patta which is also launching on December 5.
