Boston Dynamics' Year-End Robot Dance Video Is Surprisingly Not CGI
Featuring the Atlas, Handle, and Spot robots.
On top of being acquired by Hyundai for $921 million USD, Boston Dynamics has another reason to celebrate — the end of the year 2020. Sending off the year in style, the robotics company has enlisted its celebrated robots the Atlas, Handle, and Spot for a three-minute-long dance performance.
Scored with The Contours’ Do You Love Me, all three robots dance in unison and move with a fluidity unseen in previous clips from Boston Dynamics. Many viewers are even suggesting that it is CGI due to how freakishly mobile the large robots are, even leading to Elon Musk whimsically tweeting, “If they don’t love us, we’re in deep trouble!”
Check out the video above for the full performance by Boston Dynamics’ star robots.
