Sneaker boutique 24 Kilates is known for its daring footwear makeovers, having recently teamed up with Sabotage on a bold pair of Diadoras, and now it is back — this time collaborating with Mizuno on the Mondo Control “King Kobra V2.”

Served in “Cobra Gold/White/Purple,” the 24 Kilates x Mizuno Mondo Control is regal and luxurious, as the faux snakeskin glistens alongside chrome gold embroidery of a King Cobra on the tongue. Muted colors are also used on areas such as the toe box, which appears in brown suede, and the gray mesh base which is served in two shades.

Mizuno’s signature logo is served in white patent leather on the lateral and in smooth purple suede on the medial, while purple leather appears alongside gold-toned suede on the heel and collar. Matte chrome gold has been used for the very first eyestay panel before the laces weave through the snakeskin overlay, as well as for the outsole and the mid-sole details.

Purple Mizuno and 24 Kilates embroidery appear on the heels, more Mizuno branding graces the lateral front-quarter, and a purple lower lace reading “King Kobra Vol. 2” rounds out the pair.

The 24 Kilates x Mizuno Mondo Control “King Kobra V2” is set to release at 24 Kilates outposts on December 12. The pair is set to cost €140 EUR (approx. $170 USD).
