Following on from a three-way collaboration between RECOUTURE, mita and adidas Originals comes a new collaboration directed solely by RECOUTURE, once again reworking the Three Stripes’ Campus 80s sneaker.
RECOUTURE x adidas Originals present two Campus 80s models, one in a classic combination of black-and-white and another in a less-than practical “Beige” colorway. The black-and-white pair best shows the new details that have been implemented, such as the off white hue that details the patch-like suede Three Stripes on the medial and the extended black suede on the lateral side panel.
The Campus 80s are asymmetrical, as the lateral side sees its suede upper extend and become the midsole. This is more prominent at the rear where the suede covering ends, switching to a traditional off white midsole. Elsewhere around the shoe, you’ll spot a white leather heel tab that’s branded with the adidas Trefoil logo, as well as a similar tongue tab that’s decorated with yellow topstitching.
RECOUTURE’s “Beige” offering adopts the same suede construction and sees the light-colored material encompass the midsole. The Three Stripes are also added on top of the lateral side’s upper, yet like the black-and-white pair become a part of the medial side in a more traditional form. Rounding out this pair is its leather heel tab, tongue detailing, and tonal laces.
The RECOUTURE x adidas Originals Campus 80s pack is set to release on November 21 at stockists such as 43einhalb. The sneakers will cost €119.95 EUR each (approx. $140 USD).
