Emerging Sneaker Label notwoways Gets It Right With New moonless Silhouette
This is how you make a statement in the competitive world of sneakers — by dropping an affordable, original, yet instantly familiar shoe.
notwoways is an emerging footwear label from the U.K. and is fronted by content creator Callux and his partner and brand designer Rockwell Princely. Following on from a quiet drop of their first shoe, the exuberance, notwoways is readying for its next release, offering a sneaker titled the moonless.
The brand’s newest sneaker is creating plenty of noise, and for all of the right reasons. After both the soon-coming shoe and the previously released models launched for resell on the StockX market, notwoways continues to make a buzz in the footwear industry by being a new label that’s getting it right.
notwoways’ moonless is chunky and technical, but it also has a number of retro elements that make this shoe truly original. Available in just one colorway — “Black/Moonbeam/Exurberance/Onyx” — the moonless sports an upper comprising overlaying panels of Nubuck leather and mesh, while a sole unit made from phylon and rubber serves even more chunkiness.
Rope laces give the shoe a more tactical edge, while there’s something about the overall shape that oozes early 2000’s skate shoes. Its sole unit is straight from the 1990s, looking as if it’s come off of some hiking sneakers, while little details around the shoe make this sneaker stand out among the rest of the saturated chunky footwear market.
On the forefoot, you’ll find a circular ntw logo, while more branding can be found on the oversized tongue tab. Additionally, the pair is rounded out with a large heel tab.
The best thing of them all? notwoways’ moonless sneaker — which launches on November 28 at 6 p.m. GMT — costs just £100 GBP (approx. $133 USD). Take a closer look at it above, and head over to the brand’s website tomorrow before their limited-run sells out.
