G-SHOCK and Wildlife Promising, an NGO dedicated to African wildlife preservation, have joined forces for a reptilian spin on the MTG-B1000. The MTG-B1000WLP1, with its scaly gray pattern, is a limited-edition model inspired by the African Rock Python.

Besides its face, a bold gray snakeskin pattern wraps around the entire watch. “G-SHOCK,” “SHOCK RESIST” and “WILDLIFE PROMISING” branding are emblazoned to frame the watch’s sleek face. Much of this model’s design is centered around details that play on the snake theme. For example, the indicator at 9 o’clock has been made in the shape of a python’s head — additionally, the red second-hand reflects a snake’s tongue and there’s even an understated snakeskin pattern on the solar dial. The watch also comes with a Bluetooth function so wearers can sync up the time on the watch with the time displayed on his/her smartphone. Other features like water-resistance of 200 meters, the 24-hour stopwatch, daily alarms and a fully automatic calendar finish off the details of the limited-edition piece.

The Wildlife Promising x G-SHOCK MTG-B1000WLP1 will be available for pre-order on November 24 on G-SHOCK’s website for $1,300 USD.
