Building on its recent release alongside British designer Nicholas Daley, Fred Perry has now readied its latest collaborative release in partnership with London-based label Casely-Hayford.

Founded by Charlie Casely-Hayford and his late father, the critically acclaimed designer, Joe Casely-Hayford OBE, the brand brings a love for tailoring and contemporary styling together with an alternative slow approach to creating special pieces, with the intention they will be worn forever, each time adding stories to be passed on with the garments.

Growing up in Dalston, East London, surrounded by a mix of cultures, Casely-Hayford fondly recalls memories of Ridley Road Market and the clashing of colors and prints. This vibrant expression of identity and subcultures now inform the brand’s DNA.

Shirting in the collection holds a feeling of hand-me-down, as demonstrated through subtle details such as displaced pockets and miss-matched buttons. With reference to both brands’ archives, knitwear is rich and embellished juxtaposing some of the tougher outerwear pieces underpinned with Saville Row precision.

The Fred Perry tennis bomber jacket is reinterpreted with a contemporary fit and a dark green striped lining inspired by tailoring and special wrap around cuff details with imitation horn buttons.

The Casely-Hayford x Fred Perry collection is set to launch on November 5 and will be available from the Fred Perry webstore.

In other news, Joyce has kept things simple for its FW20 collection.
