Luxury British label Burberry — helmed by Riccardo Tisci — has released a Frankenstein monster of a shirt for Fall/Winter 2020.

Dubbed the Contrast Check Cotton Flannel Reconstructed Shirt, this piece combines the base of one Nova check shirt with two others on either side. The result is sure to split opinions thanks to its three plackets, subsequent button layout running down the front middle and sides of the shirt, and most notably, its three collars.

Unlike other split shirts, this Burberry piece features a button-down collar and neck opening on each shoulder. At the rear, things look somewhat as expected as the three different shirts are stitched together neatly while serving a contrast. However, little details such as the loop on the neckline, which is repeated three times because there are three collars, continues to make this piece stand out.

Rounding out this unique design is its array of check pockets that feature across the three-shirt construction. Take a look at the Burberry Contrast Check Cotton Flannel Reconstructed Shirt above, and purchase it for yourself now on HBX where it retails for $1,040 USD.

In other news, Verdy has teased an upcoming NEEDLES collaboration.
