adidas Originals Adds Lace Shroud and Neon Green Details To Ozweego
Remove for an equally techy look.
adidas Originals‘ retro-futuristic Ozweego has appeared in numerous makeovers, and this lace shroud-adorned version might be the most daring to date. Served in “Core Black/Grey Six,” this Ozweego is covered in a lace shroud that’s made from leather and is finished with wavy neon green detailing alongside matching adidas Trefoil branding and zig-zag topstitching.
The inclusion of a lace shroud — coupled with the neon green ropes found underneath and zig-zag stitching on the rear quarter — give the Ozweego an even more tech-forward aesthetic. TPU tubes run around the shoe’s upper noting its credentials, for example its adiPRENE-packed midsole, and once more state this in neon green-toned ’80s-style digital lettering.
Underneath the shroud is an updated black rope lacing system complete with webbing Three Stripes and loop eyelets that are used to lock the shroud in place. Further adidas branding graces the tongue in exchange for the shroud’s neon motifs. Rounding out the pair are the suede panels on the toe box, and the midsole which is finished with speckles all over.
