ROMBAUT's Royal Mail-Themed Boccaccio II Lite Boot Has Been Delivered
Costing $520 USD before postage.
ROMBAUT‘s Boccaccio II Lite boots deliver, literally. As a sustainably-focused vegan brand, ROMBAUT has crafted these boots from upcycled ripstop weave fabrics and has covered the pair in graphics of the United Kingdom’s postal service — the Royal Mail.
While the brand’s typical offerings often opt for vegan materials, plant-based fibers, and high-grade artificial leather, this pair opts for scraps of ripstop weave and then stitches them all together for a paneled look. Tonal topstitching defines the separate components of the boot, while Royal Mail graphics have then been plastered all over in a random fashion.
Everything from “International Mail” over the rounded almond toe to “Royal Mail Special Delivery” on the mid-panel and collar appears on the Boccaccio II Lite, while nods to the postal service’s stamp and its moniker also appear underneath ROMBAUT’s own branding, which takes form as a rubberized tag on the mid-panel.
Rounding out the pair is its huge, chunky sole unit. Finished in black, the sole unit offers height and support, perfect for when you’re stomping your way to the post box.
