Adding to the battle royale gaming trend, a Pac-Man version of the emerging genre of competitive gaming was announced during the recent brief Stadia presentation. Stadia is the upcoming cloud gaming service developed and operated by Google.
Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle is a 64-player title that builds on the game we all know and love with players starting off in their own maze. Aside from clearing one’s maze, their will also be opportunities to invade other mazes and grab power-ups. But it is currently unclear what level of interaction between players involved in a match but we do know that spectator mode allows players to watch and vote on what power-up appear. Developed by Heavy Iron Studios in collaboration with Bandai Namco, Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle will serve as a leading casual title on Google’s Stadia platform.
