Having returned to his native Twitch, world-conquering gamer Ninja has rejoined
The stylized artwork complements “Catch the Spark”s bright kicks, yielding two pairs of ZX Torsion runners and another duo of Nite Joggers. The former silhouette is offered in neutral grey and grey, white and purple, complete with mesh, suede and rubber panels. “Time In” lace dubraes and medial panels emblazoned with kunai daggers complete the design.
Meanwhile, its counterpart arrives in understated black and grey accented by bold blue and striking amber and orange. Atop a full-length BOOST midsole, the shoes offer matching dubrae and kunai detailing, mixing and matching the textiles across each panel of the sneaker.
“When I started playing video games, no one had imagined what was possible in gaming yet,” Ninja said in a statement. “All I cared about was doing what I loved, so I just kept going. I wanted to use this project to highlight some really personal times in my life and I hope that in doing so I can inspire others, showing them that it’s okay to chase their dreams too. That’s also why I picked different colors and textures for each of the shoes — as a way of referencing all the different phases we go through on our respective ‘Time In’ journeys.”
All of the “Chase the Spark” sneakers hit adidas’ dedicated Ninja page on October 14.
Most recently, adidas looked to the future with its high-tech Futurecraft STRUNG runners.
