Garmin Introduces an Esports-Focused Smartwatch
Broadcast your live biometric stats.
Streamers can now broadcast their biometric stats to their fans thanks to Garmin‘s new Esports Instinct smartwatch.
Garmin’s statement reads: “With the Instinct Esports Edition, esports athletes can tap into that same technology to track and examine how their body responds to intense competition. Players can also use Instinct’s data to make adjustments in their daily lives, whether it be altering sleep patterns or activity levels, which can result in increased cognitive and physical performance during play.”
Using Garmin’s STR3AMUP! function, players can update viewers on their live stress levels and heart rate when they are playing crucial match-ups. The watch also can be synced to your smartphone for notifications. An additional function includes a Body Battery Energy Monitor, which factors in sleep and body metrics to determine your energy health — letting you know if you should be resting or playing.
The watch is good for up to 80 hours on a single charge, and is priced at approximately $300 USD. Those interested can head over to Garmin for more info.
