Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumors' Returns to Billboard 200 Top 10 After More Than 40 Years

Fleetwood Mac‘s Rumors has returned to the Billboard 200 top 10 for the first time in 42 years.
The group’s celebrated studio album opens at No. 7 this week and earned a total of 33,000 equivalent album units, including 7,000 in album sales, 4,000 in track equivalent album units, and 23,000 in streaming equivalent album, the latter equating to 30.6 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs. Rumors previously spent 31 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 during 1977-1978 and broke the record for weeks spent atop the chart by a duo or group.
The resurgence of Rumors is all thanks to TikTok star Nathan Apodaca, better known as Doggface208, who went viral after filming a video of him longboarding and lip-syncing to “Dreams” while drinking a bottle of Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice. Prior to the album’s re-entry into the top 10, “Dreams” also returned to the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 21 and garnered its best-ever weekly U.S. streams and download sales.
In related news, Pop Smoke’s posthumous debut album is back at No. 1 on this week’s chart.
