Converse Looks to Nigeria's Football Kit For New Chuck 70s
The latest in a series of soccer-inspired collaborations.
After its recent French football-inspired Chuck 70, Converse has now sought inspiration from the kits of the Nigerian national football team for its latest customized Chuck Taylor All Stars.
Inspired by the eagle feather design found on the team’s away jerseys, graphics are repeated on the sneaker’s upper, with a midsole print also highlighting the Nigerian theme. Available through Converse By You — the sneaker customization platform that allows any individual to tap their creativity through the Chuck Taylor All Star canvas — consumers can build their own sneaker from the ground up.
To accompany this release, Converse is featuring entrepreneurs of Nigerian heritage on its Instagram as part of Converse All Star Exchange — a new series celebrating the legacy of Black creative entrepreneurship and the London All Stars who are shaping its future.
The Converse By You Nigeria (Naija) National Team Chuck 70 is available from October 1 via the Converse By You platform.
