Off-White™ Gets Referential With Print-Heavy Pascal Painting Sweatshirt
The SS20 piece examines The Golden Ration and more.

Off-White™ has released an all-new sweatshirt adorned with its Pascal Painting design, signature diagonals and references to The Golden Ratio.
In true Virgil Abloh form, the Pascal Painting Sweatshirt is researched and thought-out, serving as much as an education as it does a strong sartorial statement. On the front, the Off-White™ piece combines an explanation of The Golden Ratio, stating “The Golden Ratio is a special number found by dividing a line into two parts so that the longer part divided by the smaller part is also equal to the whole length divided by the longer part.”
This is not the only reference to lines, as the white sweatshirt is adorned with the label’s signature diagonal stripes in “Brilliant Green” along the arms, which contrasts the front and rear Pascal Painting print. This image depicts a skeleton holding a woman, with her Off-White™ belt in a complementing neon green shade wrapping around the skeleton’s hips.
Elsewhere in the image, you’ll find references to Virgil Abloh’s collaboration with Evian, Off-White™ sneakers and heels, and iconography that the label often draws from such as utilitarianism and workwear inspirations, denoted by the use of hazard signs and “do not cross” tape.
