Nike's THE10TH & SOPHNET. Walk Tokyo Streets in New Lookbook
Featuring a collaborative React Sertu.
Shortly after introducing THE10TH, inspired by the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division, Nike has already filled out a long slate of releases under the label, like the woven React Sertu from back in October. The label has returned, this time collaborating with Japanese imprint SOPHNET. on a concise series of athletic streetwear.
The two labels have teamed up for a lookbook that highlights the capsule’s functional garments; they even made a video that closely captures a pair of React Sertus that walks through Tokyo’s clean urban landscapes. The sneakers feature gray suede and leather textiles, contrasted by multi-colored ripstop weaving along the upper regions. The shoe sees a translucent angular tongue, complemented by round laces, followed by a perforated toe box. The heel comes with a branded pull tab, while rounded leather panels appear at the rear quarter and lower mid-section. An essential React midsole is placed below all of these details as the prime supporting foundation.
Another noteworthy highlight in the capsule is a thick hoodie made from terry-fleece cotton. The piece comes in either black or gray, embroidered with “6453+7674” at the front and a flipped Swoosh logo at the back — “THE10TH” is subtly printed at the hood. These motifs are repeated on the final silhouette of the capsule, a graphic T-shirt that’s available in both black and white.
The Nike THE10TH x SOPHNET. capsule will be releasing on January 11 at Nike’s website as well as SOPHNET.’s physical stores and website, ranging from $50 – $137 USD.
Elsewhere, DOUBLET has compressed a series of Movie Poster T-shirts into tiny mystery capsules.
