NICOMEDE. and NOT APPLICABLE Rep Popular ’90s Boybands With "Brotherhood" T-Shirt Capsule

NOT APPLICABLE is back with another vintage T-shirt collection following capsules that spotlighted the likes of Harley Davidson and the Grateful Dead over the course of 2019. For her latest installment, founder Natasha Advani has partnered with London-based label NICOMEDE. -— designer Nicomede Talavera‘s foray back into fashion after his eponymous label‘s hiatus —- to present a range dubbed “BROTHERHOOD,” reinterpreting boyband merch from the ’90s and early 2000’s.
Both R&B and pop genres are highlighted in the mix, with the collection centered around retro tees handpicked by Advani that feature throwback groups such as *NSYNC, Immature, Boyz II Men, New Kids On The Block and Blackstreet. NICOMEDE. has reworked each shirt by adding a gingham fabric swatch to the bottom hem, elongating each style in reference the designs from Talavera’s industry-favorite Central Saint Martins MA collection. The designer also uses heart-shaped cut-outs to jazz up the selection of classic crewnecks, evoking a youthful aesthetic in line with the fan magazines that often breathlessly chronicled the boyband members.
