You’ve only got one chance to start a new decade off on the right foot, so footwear brands have shaken off the final remnants of any lingering holiday grogginess to present us, the general sneaker-loving public, with a veritable deluge of appealing releases. These range from new signature hoop shoes to modified takes on classic sportswear silhouettes and coveted collaborations. In short, there’s a lot, and we’ve got the best of the best from this week listed for you right here. Before you dive into the drops though, we have a primer on everything that went down over the last 7 days.

Last week was a big one for the Air Jordan 1. Dior unveiled a low-top version of its highly anticipated collaboration, limited to a scant 4,700 pairs and complete with all the luxurious details that sent fans of both brands into a frenzy when the High debuted in December. We also saw a look at the new Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 in “Varsity Red,” a true-to-the original silhouette with a new colorway that’s reportedly debuting in February.

There was more on the high fashion footwear front than just AJ1s, however. HYPEBEAST France was given an exclusive look inside Louis Vuitton’s French footwear atelier, a rare opportunity to see the process behind the product. Dior also dropped a new navy-accented take on its popular B23, keeping its name in the headlines while it prepares the AJ1-centric knockout punch we’ll see later this year. Takashi Murakami and Porter announced more collaborative footwear as well.

As is par for the course, Nike’s sport and lifestyle silhouettes made some noise. The Air Jordan 34 SE appeared in a special “Paris” makeup for the NBA’s upcoming Paris game that’s limited to 500 individually numbered pairs. The legendary Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” was reworked into a sleek and speedy golf sneaker, and the Air Force 1 received a new React midsole-equipped style, created by the Swoosh Brand’s conceptual D/MS/X sub-label. Lastly, Nike SB also whipped up a boxing-inspired SB Dunk High in celebration of Paul Rodriguez’s 15 years as a team member, complete with a colorway that draws from his Mexican heritage and love of the sweet science.

It was a busy stretch for Kanye West’s adidas YEEZY line as well, with previews of everything from YEEZY 700 V3s, YEEZY BOOST 350 V2s and the YEEZY BOOST 380 keeping the rapper/designer/choir leader’s acolytes appeased. adidas also released ultra-comfy adilette BOOST slides, the perfect house shoe. Wrapping things up were collaborations between Awake NY and Timberland, who reworked the classic “Beef & Broc” Sport Trekker, plus Helly Hansen and Puma, who presented a second co-crafted collection.

Now that you’re 100% caught up, let’s go ahead and get up on what’s next. Here’s a dozen of this week’s best drops, presented in chronological order. Cop up.

Nike Kyrie 6 “Chinese New Year”

Air Jordan OG

Release Date: January 16
Release Price: $140 USD

Nike Air Max 270 React ENG “Laser Blue” & “Eggplant”

Release Date: January 16
Release Price: $160 USD
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: Travis Scott who? Each feature bold hues, wavy overlays, and signature hybrid comfort, carrying on the ethos started by 2019’s Air Max 270 React in new fashion.

Nike Air Force 1 React D/MS/X

Release Date: January 17
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: Nike
Why You Should Cop: By blending new-age React foam cushioning with the Air Force 1’s timeless silhouette, Nike’s D/MS/X sub-label has created the bold new Air Force 1 React D/MS/X.
