Balming Tiger Sharpens Their Experimental Blade With New Cut "Kolo Kolo"
The South Korean collective has also dropped an outlandish visual for the single.
Genre-defying South Korean collective Balming Tiger is continuing to sculpt out its tantalizing sound, sharpening their experimental blade with a brand new cut and video titled “Kolo Kolo.” Tapping rapper Omega Sapien, singer-songwriter wnjn, and producer Unsinkable for the effort, the new single — dropped in celebration of the Lunar New Year — exudes hip-hop-tinged industrial sounds being forcefully employed alongside a catchy hook. Following in the same vein as the song’s idiosyncratic path, the crew has tapped Pennacky for an equally off-kilter music video that perfectly encapsulates the track’s mood.
Omega Sapien, codenamed the “Green Godzilla,” takes center stage in the visual, seen donning an outlandish hair cut that showcases his characteristic green hair. He, as well as various Balming Tiger members, can be seen training at their very own martial arts academy alongside an entourage of students, intercut with cinematic shots that detail Korea’s vibrant culture.

Balming Tiger will be heading to SXSW in March, following that up with a Europe tour in May whereby the crew will showcase their talents at the U.K.’s The Great Escape Festival.
In case you missed it, watch Omega Sapien showcase a harsher side of youth in his previous visual for “POP THE TAG.”
