As the Spring/Summer 2020 circuit of New York Fashion Week comes to a close today, industry fixtures have continued to flaunt their most striking personal style, stepping out in favored brands such as Maison Margiela, Off-White™ and Louis Vuitton. Sunglasses remain a key accessory as the events are winding down, while hats have also topped off several looks to help stave off New York’s muggy atmosphere.
Familiar faces like Aleali May and Adonis Bosso played it cool in breezy ensembles, respectively opting for a bralette top with tie-dyed denim and a mesh tank with layered gold chains. Meanwhile, sneakers once again anchored several outfits, including a black and grey edition of the sacai x Nike Blazer and the ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-Sokat Infinity in all-black. And despite fall’s incoming, vibrant colors were still laced throughout as shades of orange, red and pink livened up the streets. Check out all the new photos by scrolling through the gallery above.
Like the Men’s Fashion Week attendees from June, those attending New York’s Spring/Summer 2020 womenswear shows embraced lightweight layering pieces, statement eyewear and plenty of branded designer goods. This time around the weather was cooling down, rather than warming up, however, giving guests reason to delve into their closets for slightly more substantial outerwear, without sacrificing their favorite sunglasses and headwear.
Comfy go-to kicks like the New Balance 990v5 and sacai’s Nike LDWaffle runner lend street-friendly comfort to the adventurous layering above, with colorful accents coming courtesy of the collaborative AriZona Ice Tea & adidas sneakers. Familiar fashion houses like Gucci, Prada and Burberry were all represented, with the bold logos bolstered by a host of all-over-printed shirts. The mashed-up colors were arguably outmuscled by the aggressive pattern play, which saw trendy snakeskin on skirts and unrelenting plaid atop blazers, with a touch of seasonal tie-dye to properly send up summer.
