Nigo Opens the Doors To His Atelier To Show off His Archive
Everything from rare clothing, expensive jewelry, iconic art and sought after collectible toys.
Known as one of the originators of streetwear, Nigo has amassed an array of important pop-culture items, rare markers of fashion and a selection of expensive jewelry. Recently, the reclusive Human Made founder opened the doors to his archive to show off his archive.
Kicking things off, Nigo revealed that his atelier features a pressroom, storehouse and studio and was designed to compile all of his collection under one roof. With such a large collection, the former head BAPE head drew from his affection for buildings and warehouses in the United States to create a box-based organization system to keep all his belongings in track.
Nigo then went on to show off some interesting items from his collection which includes Beastie Boys member Ad-Rock‘s guitar, custom Louis Vuitton vinyl carrying bags, Pee-wee Herman’s suit and Bing Crosby’s denim blazer. Leading into Nigo chronicling his obsession with denim, highlighting some original Levi’s and Lee jackets that date back almost 100 years.
Finally, Nigo sat down to show off some of his expensive jewelry crafted by famed jeweler and longtime friend Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. Pulling out a custom Human Made Goyard trunk, the Japanese icon showed off an array of Human Made themed chains and his latest Curry Up Mr. Cummin chain. Finishing up the video, we got a look at his fully invisible set Audemar Piguet watch and a Friends & Family bracelet Jacob made for Nigo, Pharrel, A$AP Rocky and more.
