YouTuber IcyKof Talks Design, Reselling Culture and Streetwear With Vestiaire Collective
How much is your outfit?
Internet personality IcyKof first got into streetwear as a teenager after checking out the latest drops at the Supreme store in London. As a fan of all things rare and limited-edition, the YouTuber found a way to build his distinct personal style through reselling his clothes and accessories on resale site Vestiaire Collective, the global community platform for desirable pre-owned fashion.
Launched in October 2009, Vestiaire Collective carries a catalogue of over 900,000 highly sought-after items. Once sold, all pieces are checked by experts to ensure quality and authenticity. With over 8 million members across 50 countires worldwide, over 30,000 new items are submitted to the site per week – enabling everyone from avant-garde fashion fans to streetwear heads access to thousands of highly-coveted pieces per day.
Staying true to his humble beginnings of taking photos of the busy lines outside Europe’s most stylish stores, IcyKof found himself outside Colette in Paris amongst the likes of Luka Sabbat, Virgil Abloh and Heron Preston. Rather than take a fan photo, Kofi decided to ask the trio how much their outfits cost, which they were happy to share. Since becoming a viral hit, Kofi is a front row fixture at fashion week as well as an avid collector of cult streetwear collaborations and rare designer garments. With pieces from Raf Simons, 1017 ALYX 9SM, Dior, and A-COLD-WALL*, Kofi has accumulated a solid collection of high end streetwear.
