As the Bronx Museum of the Arts prepares to open its Henry Chalfant retrospective this week, the institution has teamed up with ALIFE on a collaborative pop-up shop in conjunction with the exhibition. The range encompasses casual wear and accessories that pay homage to the Bronx’s impact on graffiti culture while utilizing Chalfant’s photographs to underscore the borough’s significance to the art form.

Highlighted pieces include classic hoodies that are printed with the phrase “ART IS NOT A CRIME,” alongside several T-shirts that showcase Chalfant’s imagery of street artists and murals. The assortment also encompasses a logo-stamped duffel bag as an easy carrying option, while a skate deck adds another co-branded accessory to the mix.

Alongside the merchandise, the museum and ALIFE will also offer multiple events to enrich the exhibition. Programming is set to include free talks, films and family-oriented activities, including a screening of Chalfant’s Style Wars documentary (1983) and a conversation with various graffiti artists titled “The Evolution of Style.”

The collection will be available starting on September 25 at the Bronx Museum of the Arts.
