In recent weeks, Rick Ross has supported his forthcoming Port of Miami II LP by sharing singles such as the Swizz Beatz-assisted “BIG TYME” and the Drake-propelled “Gold Roses.” Now, continuing the rollout and promotional campaign for his anticipated Port of Miami sequel, the Florida superstar is back with another new single, “Turnpike Ike.”
Produced by Jake One, “Turnpike Ike” appears to be the final Port of Miami II single to see release before the album reaches its August 9 delivery date. Besides “Turnpike Ike,” Port of Miami II will also feature records with Meek Mill, Jeezy, Gunplay, Nipsey Hussle, YFN Lucci, Denzel Curry, Summer Walker and others.
“Shout-out to Justice League, shout-out to Alchemist. We did the three-way with DJ Premier. What we doing is absorbing and appreciating all that love that came from that first album ’cause that’s what I call it,” Rick Ross previously told the hosts of Drink Champs, opening up about the producers on his upcoming studio album Port of Miami II. “You may call it whatever the f*ck… I call it love. That’s what I’ma make sure we give this go-round. You know what I’m saying? And that’s what we did it for. We did it for the streets.”
You can check out Rick Ross’ latest major single “Turnpike Ike” above, while Rozay’s tenth studio album is scheduled to arrive this Friday, August 9. Rick Ross’ previous and ninth studio album was Rather You Than Me, which dropped in March of 2017 and contained 14 tracks.
