Nice Kicks is teaming up with adidas Consortium for the UltraBOOST “Woodstock,” a tie-dyed performance runner that pays homage to the iconic music festival.

First released in 2015, the adidas UltraBOOST has been reworked to tell the story of Woodstock. The design includes a tie-dye spiral upper, semi-translucent cages and a gum sole that references adidas’s first consortium project on the NMD R1. The sneaker also features white boost midsoles with Nice Kicks and Woodstock co-branding found on the tongues of both shoes.

Woodstock became a symbol of the hippie movement and a place people traveled to in order to celebrate peace, love and music. It was not only a music festival that came to define a generation but a lifestyle that people followed as well. Nice Kicks and adidas Consortium’s collaborative sneakers fuse classic Americana with forward-thinking performance. They hope to serve as a reminder of the hippie movement, a time when people could come together to work towards a common goal; this time, with a brighter, more peaceful future in mind.

Priced at $180 USD, the sneakers will launch on August 17 on Nice Kick’s website and at in-store locations.

In related news, Nike releases a tie-dyed version of its Air Max 720.
