20th Century Fox released the official trailer for its sci-fi horror film Underwater starring Kristen Stewart and a crew of deep-sea researchers that discovers a murderous entity seven miles deep in the ocean. In the visuals above, we see an earthquake forced the crew to separate for safety after their lab is destroyed. Unfortunately, the quake also woke up a subterranean creature that’s killing off the crew in several claustrophobic undersea scenes.

Written and directed by Brian Duffield, Adam Cozad, and William Eubank, the film also stars Vincent Cassel (Black Swan), John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane), and Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist, Game of Thrones). Underwater also marks one of Stewart’s biggest recent projects outside of the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot expected to arrive later this year.

Check out the trailer above and catch Underwater when it premieres January 10, 2020.

In other entertainment news, Apple TV+ released the first official trailer for The Morning Show.
