As the network EPIX gears up to premiere its upcoming series, Godfather of Harlem, songs from the show’s soundtrack have begun to release. Two of the new singles that are out now bring together rappers including Rick Ross, DMX, A$AP Ferg and more.
One of the tracks, “Hallelujah,” sees Buddy, Wale and A$AP Ferg link up over a trap-heavy beat. Buddy holds down the chorus while Wale and Ferg jump in and trade verses about running the block. Meanwhile, “Just in Case” features Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross and DMX over an ominous, piano-heavy production. Scroll below to stream both songs now.
Godfather of Harlem is set to star Forest Whitaker as crime leader Bumpy Johnson, who returns to Harlem after a 10-year stint in jail to find his territory overtaken by the Italian mob. It premieres on September 29.
