Stella McCartney Immortalizes The Beatles With Vibrant Cut & Sew Garments
Emblazoned with lavish pop colors and intarsia knit.
Having just announced its partnership with LVMH, Stella McCartney has returned with a vibrant slew of pieces, decorated with homages to her father’s iconic band, The Beatles.
The latest pieces see a series of graphics and throwback imagery colored in vibrant pop colors that honor the legendary British band. Featured garments include T-shirts, striped button-ups and sweaters, emblazoned with faces of the band members alongside vivid block letters. One standout piece is the White & Blue The Beatles Edition Striped Pocket Shirt. Complete with hidden buttons and a slightly elongated cut, the poplin shirt comes printed with silhouettes of familiar faces, like John Lennon and his iconic round-framed glasses – a thin block panel covers the back yoke as a finishing detail of the piece.
Another highlight is the Grey Beatles Edition Virgin Wool Intarsia Zip-Up Sweater, with a tiny patch of the band’s yellow submarine motif sewn onto the upper left chest. The back sees intricately knitted graphics in multicolored arrangements immortalizing all four of the artists. Other pieces like the Oversized Patches T-shirt and the Virgin Wool Yellow Submarine Sweater round up the selections.
