Netflix' Upcoming Fantasy Epic 'The Witcher' Receives an Official Trailer
Henry Cavill stars as Geralt, a solitary monster hunter.
Shortly after unveiling The Red Sea Diving Resort, starring Chris Evans, Netflix has released its trailer for the highly-anticipated upcoming fantasy series The Witcher.
The preview was first shown at Comic-Con San Diego 2019 and has already garnered a number of fans. The series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt and others such as Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri. Based on a best-selling book series, the show is set in a world called “The Continent” and tells an epic tale of survival amidst a population of humans, witchers, elves, gnomes and monsters that are in constant opposition with one another.
In a press release, Netflix has revealed some plot of the series: “a solitary monster hunter, [Geralt] struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”
