Karimoku Joins fragment design & Medicom Toy for Two Geometric 400% BE@RBRICKs
Inspired by a chessboard.

Medicom Toy continues its steady tease of BE@RBRICKS slated for its 2019 exhibition. Just unveiled are a pair of ultra-lavish Karimoku 400% BE@RBRICKs made in conjunction with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design imprint.
Inspired by a chessboard, each figure features the familiar black-and-white chessboard pattern made from different types of wood that has been glued and sculpted into the signature bear shape. The figures have then been further craved to give them more of a textured and geometric look. The two versions come in the form of a normal squared chessboard pattern, and a “LONGITUDINAL,” or rather, an elongated version.
Both versions do not come cheap, as each version is priced at ¥237,600 JPY (approximately $2,190 USD). Those interested can head over to medicomtoy.tv to place an order.
